Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FlashAI at getflashai.app, operated by East and West LTD ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using FlashAI, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Effective date: May 30, 2026

FlashAI is an AI-powered study tool. You upload PDFs or text, and our service generates flashcards you can study in multiple modes: Classic flashcards, Type Answer (AI-graded), and Multiple Choice.

Free tier: limited decks and cards per month, Classic mode, and basic spaced repetition.

Pro tier: unlimited decks and cards, all study modes, priority generation, and other Pro features described on our pricing page.

New accounts receive a 14-day Pro trial with full Pro features. No credit card is required to start the trial.

• You must be at least 13 years old to use FlashAI.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• One person per account — do not share accounts or create accounts for others without permission.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or abuse risk.

You may:

• Use FlashAI for personal study, research, and learning
• Upload materials you have the right to use for your own education

You may not:

• Upload copyrighted material you do not own or have permission to use
• Use FlashAI for illegal purposes or to harm others
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls
• Overload or disrupt the Service (including automated abuse or bot traffic)
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission

You retain ownership of content you upload (PDFs, text, and generated decks). By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display that content solely to provide and improve the Service (including sending content to AI providers for flashcard generation).

We own the FlashAI platform, including our software, design, branding, and features. These Terms do not grant you any ownership of our intellectual property.

Pro plans (USD, as shown on our pricing page):

• Pro Monthly: $13/month
• Pro Annual: $59/year
• Lifetime: $179 one-time (beta launch offer, where available)

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record. Your payment information is collected and stored by Lemon Squeezy, not by us. Credit card statements may show "Sold through Link, LLC".

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel anytime through the Lemon Squeezy Customer Portal linked from your account settings.

Refunds are handled according to Lemon Squeezy's policies. We typically offer a refund window for new paid subscriptions (often 14 days) — see our Refund Policy for details.

New signups receive 14 days of Pro access at no charge. No payment information is required to start the trial.

When the trial ends, your account automatically moves to the Free tier unless you upgrade to a paid plan. Your decks remain available, but Free tier limits apply to new activity.

FlashAI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

AI-generated flashcards may contain mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing study material before relying on it for exams, clinical work, or other high-stakes decisions.

We are not responsible for your academic, professional, or personal outcomes from using FlashAI.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you have not paid anything).

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if we were advised of the possibility.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you in full.

You may stop using FlashAI and cancel your subscription at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use creates risk for us or other users.

If you request account deletion, we delete personal data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements. See our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Continued use of FlashAI after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Israel, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
